Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by typical jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing effectiveness and production.
