Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the person using it to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular forklifts could not move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is required.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are better in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is meant to lift workers is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
